Graduated with first class honours degree in Mathematics from Oxford University. Joined the RAF as a full-time pilot, flying at RAF Cranwell and RAF Valley where pilots wings were gained. Won dive bombing weapons prize at RAF Chivenor before undergoing conversion training to Phantoms at RAF Coningsby. Graduated as best student and posted to RAf Wildenrath, Germany, for three years. Converted to Tornado F3 at Coningsby in 1992 before being posted to RAF Leeming. Now working on the JOUST Air Combat Simulator at DRA Farnborough.
